HUMAN SUSTAINABILITY

Small shifts, properly chosen.

Els Nature carries forward Dr Elsa's long-standing work on human potential, from social work and research to speaking, writing, and building a brand that treats restoration as something practical, human, and lived.

Beginnings

Every journey has its turning points. Mine has been defined by listening to people's stories, learning from them, and understanding over time that the smallest shifts often create the greatest changes.

Growing up without the steady presence of parents meant learning independence early. That freedom brought challenge and possibility, and gave me space to watch how people lived their lives.

Work with people

The choice to study social work felt natural. My career began alongside students with special needs, young people whose differences were too often misjudged as limitations.

To me, they held unique forms of intelligence, creativity, and courage. They became some of my greatest teachers.

Brilliance is measured by how fully someone lives as themselves.

Research

Encounters with those students stirred a deeper curiosity about human ability. I wanted to understand why some talents are celebrated while others remain hidden.

That question led me to a doctorate, researching giftedness, talent, and human capability. The learning was rigorous and always connected back to real people, and real stories.

Doctoral research

Research into giftedness, talent, and human capability.

TEDx

A talk on small actions and human sustainability.

Els Nature

A brand built from the same belief in human potential.

Today, the science of small shifts

From social work to the TEDx stage, my work has always circled back to one truth: sustainability starts with people. In my TEDx talk, Feeling Tired, Wiggle Your Toes, I spoke about how even the smallest actions can shift our perspective, restore our energy, and change the course of our lives.

Today, I share that message through speaking, writing, and now through Els Nature. Skincare was the first chapter: a daily ritual that lives the same idea on the skin. Wellness retreats are the next: physical places that live the same idea in the body. Both are expressions of one belief: when we invest in human potential, we create ripples that sustain the world.

When we invest in human potential, we build a world that lasts.
