How Els Nature Begins
Els Nature was created by someone who simply wanted her skin to feel comfortable again.
I’m Dr Elsa, and like many women, I spent years trying to find skincare that didn’t irritate, overwhelm, or fight my skin. My skin is extremely sensitive, so sensitive that even the wrong shampoo could make my face red, itchy, and inflamed. I’d get tiny bumps that weren’t quite spots, just skin reacting because it wasn’t happy.
I tried everything. Gentle formulas. Expensive formulas. “Clean” formulas.
Nothing truly worked.
When Less Became the Answer
Eventually, I stopped using so much.
When I stripped my routine back, my skin became calmer, but it also became dull and dry. That’s when I realised something important: my skin didn’t need more products. It needed less stress and better nourishment.
I started with something very simple - an oil. And for the first time in a long time, my skin felt comfortable. Not tight. Not itchy. Just calm.
That experience changed the way I saw skincare.
Treating Skin Like Part of the Body
I began to think about skin the same way I think about food.
Your skin is your largest organ. What you put on it matters. Not just for how it looks, but for how your body responds as a whole.
As I explored plant-based, natural ingredients, I noticed changes beyond my skin. My hormonal cycle became more balanced. I’m not claiming skincare fixes hormones, but I learned that when you stop overwhelming your body, it begins to work with you instead of against you.
This understanding became the foundation of Els Nature.
